I have to agree.
I grew up close to Baltimore, and they have thoroughly captured the essence of the city…even down to the local slang and accents. I think it is much more “real” than a lot of shows that are set in other cities. The references to local landmarks and folklore bring me back to my younger days. I liked how they cast “Little Melvin” Williams as the Deacon.
I’m glad to see that a new season has started, although I don’t know if I’m down with the whole Baltimore Sun storyline. The inner workings of a newspaper don’t interest me that much…Hopefully it gets more interesting. The school system, the cops, the drug trade, and the politicians were all a lot more captivating.
I look forward to next Sunday.
